We're hiring! Multitasking Studio Assistant required

We're on the hunt for a Studio Assistant to help us at Toward. We are a busy design studio with branding, digital and print design projects keeping us busy. There's usually around 40 to 50 live projects in various stages at any given time. These range from stationery, signage, brand identities, website redesigns, technical online platforms and everything in between.

In order to ensure we deliver quality work on time and on budget we need to be organised. This is where the Studio Assistant will play a pivotal role in the team, working directly with the Studio Manager to provide the best support to the team and the best service to our clients. We see this as a role with plenty of potential for growth and development and so we need a committed individual to join us.

As Studio Assistant you'll need to wear many different hats. Initial duties will be admin based but these tasks are incredibly important to keep the studio efficient. Tasks will include answering the phone, welcoming clients and guests to the studio (we have a coffee machine that does most of the hard work here), ordering stationery, dealing with any studio requirements related to recycling/water cooler, dealing with suppliers to get quotes and generally helping to keep things ticking over. We’ll need someone who can quickly learn the ‘Toward Way’ so they can communicate in our tone and personality on the phone and in written communications.

As the role develops we see the long term tasks being more responsible with further involvement in client communications, managing schedules, providing project updates, arranging meetings, quoting and agreeing budgets, signing off projects, invoicing and keeping us busy, on track and most importantly, ensuring our clients are happy.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, has an interest in the creative industries, is able to deal with many tasks at one time. You’ll need a good memory and attention to detail. This role could be the start of a rewarding career for someone keen to develop in a studio/project management role and environment. We’re a fun bunch with an exciting future ahead.

The place is being offered via Go Wales, so you must be 24 years old or less and a graduate.
